    "Karen" came into my store the other day.

    Karen: Do you have any Ice Mountain?
    Theo: I’m sorry, what's left of the bottled water is this you see in front of you. Folks have just been completely wiping us out with this coronavirus thing going on.
    K: But I saw it in your advertisement this week. Ice Mountain is on sale!
    T: Yeah, my understanding is that advertisement was made up long before all of this excitement started. It even talks about getting ready for the March Madness Final Four that isn’t happening anymore.
    K: I only drink Ice Mountain. Coronavirus or not I always buy three cases of when it goes on sale!!!”

    I didn’t even bother mentioning that we are only allowing folks to buy 1 case of water at a time at this point because of the hoarders.

     Most folks have been pretty nice since this whole thing has happened. It seems like maybe most folks are actually nicer than usual. There was even a customer who thanked us for being there the other day.

    The people who have been most difficult are the ones who, like this customer, are miffed because we don't have the specific item they really want when our whole stock of everything is pretty depleted. Not only are the hoarders grabbing what they want, they are grabbing plenty of stuff that is adjacent to the stuff they want but we’re out of.

    So if you want a specific brand of baking flour and we are out of it, please don’t shout at the worker on the phone (another real thing occurence this week). We’ve been out of most types of flour for most of the day. And if you really want a specific bottle of water, sorry... literally thousands of people have been buying that stuff up for a days now. They didn't care if its Ice Mountain or Aquafina or what ever.
